A Patriotic Tribute to the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave
And to the victims and families of the recent acts of terrorism.

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”— Jeremiah 17:7-8

(Eccl 3:1 KJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

So there is a time for making things right as we must stand for our values and our Nation. We must not allow the type of evil that can destroy and kill, so we must act.

First and Last Verse of the the Star Spangled Banner:
By Francis Scott Key September 20, 1814.

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

O! thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd home, and the war's desolation,
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land,
Praise the Power that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto--"In God is our Trust;"
And the star-spangled Banner in triumph shall wave,
O'er the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave.

The Pledge Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
And to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God,
Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Commentary on the Pledge of Allegiance
by Red Skelton

As a schoolboy, one of Red Skelton's teachers explained the words and meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance to his class. Skelton later wrote down, and eventually recorded, his recollection of this lecture. It is followed by an observation of his own.

I -- Me; an individual; a committee of one.
Pledge -- Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.
Allegiance -- My love and my devotion.
To the Flag -- Our standard; Old Glory; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts; Freedom is everybody's job.
of the United -- That means that we have all come together.
States -- Individual communities that have united into forty-
eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united into a common purpose, and that is love for country.
And to the Republic -- Republic-a state in which soverign power
is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands One Nation -- meaning, so blessed by God.
Indivisible -- Incapable of being divided.
With Liberty -- Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one's own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.
And Justice -- The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly
with others.
For All -- For All-which means, boys and girls, it's as much your
country as it is mine.
And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of

Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our
country, and two words have been added to the Pledge of
Allegiance: Under God. Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said
that was a prayer, and should be eliminated from schools, too?

Red Skelton

"My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing:
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain side
Let freedom ring."
Samuel Francis Smith: America

Our Prayers and support to the families,  relatives, and friends of the recent attack of our freedom and way of life. May the Lord be with you in the coming days that your heart may be comforted with the Saviors love.

Though our nation has been altered by this meaningless attack of terrorism and may change the way we live we can still survive as a nation strengthened by the these horrific events. If we as a country will pray and humble ourselves to the Lord we can go through the trials and tribulations of the coming times.
Even in the destruction of so many lives God is still God he does not change but we must change and return to the truth of the bible. Though there never will be appropriate answers to why so many died, God is still a God of mercy and judgment and righteousness. His love extends to all who will turn to him for help, forgiveness and healing.
If we turn away from this event with a deaf ear and blind eye we miss the opportunity to show the love of God to those who are hurting from the loss. We must pray and then put legs and muscle to our prayers that God can use us as a people, lovers of what is right and what is good and appropriate.
God came to rescue the perishing, and save the lost just as we will rescue a lost person even using all our strength, might and soul, God gave all of His Son to us that we might be saved.
