News4U Word of Truth 2001One Way Ticket
We all hold a one way ticket given to us at birth. We have but one road to travel and the road can be paved with many obstacles and directions. One thing is for sure though it will come to an end eventually or suddenly the end of life. This is the thing we must realize as we travel to the end of our roads. Our ticket has to be
validated by the one who gave it to us and that person is Christ and it must be stamped with the blood he shed on the cross at Calvary. This ticket though may lead each of us in a different path depending on the direction of your life and desires. He lets us choose the road we want to travel, it’s the final destination that makes the difference. When we choose certain roads it can permanently change your life and destiny. God in his wisdom knows what road you should choose. It is better of course to choose the one He picks out for you, as it’s the road least traveled but the most reliable way to go. Though the road may look hard and rough and full of holes it’s the road that will bring you the most blessing and growth to your life and eternal reward instead of eternal destruction. Many have wrecked their lives by going on the road of pleasure or the broad way or the easy way and become slaves to their possessions and desires. These things will drive them on in their careless drunken state of mind, not just the physical aspect of drunkenness but the kind of drunkenness of the world and its pleasures and lusts. The ticket they hold has not been redeemed by His blood so when their road ends it will be too late to validate. The only thing that could have saved their lives, they let go or lost along the road. Even if they could find it, it would not have been stamped with the Blood of redemption offered freely by the one who went before us and gave us a new road to travel on Jesus. Most have heard what Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no man comes unto the Father but by me".
We have all said a time or two that we have come to the end of our rope, and then we add "tie a knot and hang on". What Jesus wants us to do though is to let go and trust in Him to catch us by faith in the fact that he died and rose from the grave and paid the price for our redemption. We can drive our lives by ourselves that is our choice but when we do we will come to dead ends with no way to go but back and that can be time consuming and costly both to you your family and your life. Our choices now affect not only your eternal destination but those of your family and friends as well. Your life can make a difference in another's just by the road you choose to travel. Be aware that God cares and loves you and wants to be there for you in the end of your road, to greet you and take you into his Kingdom. You must be on the road that leads to salvation and faith in Jesus and have your ticket validated by trusting in him. Many have tried to come to him on a road that seems like the same road but as Jesus has said that they try to gain entrance but not by the way He has given.
(Mat 7:13 KJV) "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (Mat 7:14 KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
So choose carefully and thoughtfully and so yours will be truly blessed. Enter the gate with your One Way Ticket Validated and you will be saved.
God Bless You on your road to life,
