White as Snow
This is a great time of the year with the winter snow and children playing having snow fights, sledding, making snow men, also how clean everything looks all covered in the sparkling crystals of snow each a beautiful shape. Have you ever looked close at a snow flake with a magnifying glass? If not you should they are truly beautiful. God thought the same thing when he thought of you and I that we need to be covered with something truly beautiful. We truly need our sins covered and Christ blood is the only thing that can cover our sins. Its amazing how snow can cover up a dirty junkyard full of junk and it looks so clean and beautiful, thats what God wants to do to us to make us truly beautiful through his Son Jesus, to cover up all the junk in our lives.
Below are a few bible verses about snow using it as a metaphor for being covered by the blood of our Savior Jesus and being refreshed by snow.
(Prov 25:13 KJV) As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
(Isa 1:18-20 KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
(19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
(20) But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
This Psalm of David can be made into a personal prayer of your own if you need to be covered by his forgiveness.
(Psalm 51:2-13 KJV)
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
